This is an electric railroad which extended from Montreal and Hurley Wisconsin east to Ironwood, Bessemer and Jessieville, MI, a total of about 12 miles. The line was ultimately abandoned under different ownership in 1932.
Time Line
1922. Motors in the rotary plow were burned out yesterday, seriously handicapping the work of clearing the streetcar tracks of snow. It was thought that the rotary plow would be running again this afternoon. About 50 men are employed by the streetcar company in shoveling snow. [IDG-1922-0224]
