Timetable: PRR - Main Line - Lincoln Park to Carleton (and Toledo)
This was the Pennsylvania's main line into Detroit. The PRR reached the north side of the Maumee River in Toledo in the late 1880's but the line north to Detroit was not built until the early 1920's. The PRR used extensive trackage rights to reach Detroit on the Ann Arbor, Pere Marquette, Wabash and Union Belt of Detroit. Station hours and siding capacity based on 1946.

Time Line
1922. The PRR establishes trackage rights on the Union Belt lines in Detroit. This includes the double track line from Delray to Detroit. They also use the Wabash line from Delray north to near Beaubien tower, the Pere Marquette main line from Delray to P-Company Junction, and the PM old main line, known as the West Detroit branch from Oak to West Detroit. The arrangement gives the PM and Wabash rights on PRR lines as well. [CQII]
1922. The bridge over the Huron River is built by the Illif Brothers of London, Ontario and requires 15,000 cubic yards of fill. [CQII]
1956. The PRR discontinues use of this line between Toledo Junction and Tiro, using a portion of the Sandusky Branch fron Colman to Carothers to access the branch. [CQII]
