1924. In the Matter of the Application of the Michigan Central Railroad Company for Authority to Abandon and Remove Its So-Called Edwards Lake Branch. D-1905. January 15, 1924.

The application of the Michigan Central Railroad Company for authority to abandon and remove its so-called Edwards Lake Branch of said railroad extending from the Mackinac Division of the Michigan Central Railroad from a point about five miles south of West Branch in a generally westerly direction for about four and one-half (4%) miles, having been brought on to be heard, and it appearing that said branch was originally constructed to serve the Hecla Portland Cement Company, which said Cement Company has discontinued business, and no objections having been presented to said application,--

Now, THEREFORE, IT is HEREBY ordered, That the Michigan Central Rail Road Company be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to discontinue service upon and to remove and abandon said so-called Edwards Lake Branch of the Michigan Central Railroad above described.
