Timetable: Grand Trunk Western - Main Line Flint Sub - Port Huron to Battle Creek
This was half of the GTW's main line across Michigan to Chicago. This was double track until the 1960's when portions were removed and operated by Centralized Traffic Control (CTC). (See notes).

After the double track was removed, the line was controlled by single track CTC from West Tappan west to East Flint. Then double track ABS west to West Flint. From West Flint it was single track CTC to Durand. Then double track ABS west. (1969). Passing track lengths based on 60' cars.

Time Line
1902. The railroad widens the cuts and embankments for double track between Durand and Battle Creek. The most notable instance of this work is at Potterville and Olivet. [MCR-1902]
1929: The GTW reports that they have installed 49 US&S automatic block signals on 44 miles of line between Battle Creek and Lansing. [RSC-1930]
