Timetable: DT&I Railroad - D&I Dearborn Branch - D&I Junction to Fordson Yard

This was a double track branch line which was built by the Ford interests to give their Rouge works access to the DT&I near Flat Rock. For a short period of time, this branch was electrified. Many of the catenary posts remain along this route.

In 1937 the speed of this branch was 60 mph for passenger trains, 40 mph for freight trains.

Time Line

1920. Ford plans for constructing a connecting line between the DT&I at a point 2.5 miles southwest of Trenton, and the Detroit Terminal Railroad [in the village of Springwells] has been held up by the Michigan Public Utilities Commission. [SEB-1920-0812]
