Time Line
1911. This branch line is built from Rogers City Junction to Rogers City. [MRL]
1911. The condemnation suit brought by the D&M railroad against Patrick Styma for the right-of-way on the Rogers City branch was decided in Judge Hardie's court today. Styma demanded $1,500 for three acres. The jury allowed him $100, which completes the right of way to Rogers City. [DFP-1911-0208]
1911. D&M Vice President J.D. Hawks says that the Rogers City branch was begun in December, 1910 and peed for business June 19, 1911 as far as Calcite, 12 miles. He says the Michigan Limestone & Chemical company at Calcite is hurrying its immense plant to completion. [DFP-1911-1030]
1914. The D&M adds a wye at Rogers City, requiring 2,900 feet of track. [DMAR-1014]
