Timetable: C&NW - Republic Branch - Clowry to Republic
The C&NW Republic Branch was built south off the Michigamme Branch to Republic in 1888. This was a 13 mile long branch which served a number of small mines around what latter became the huge open pit Republic Mine.
This branch was removed in 1933.

C&NW track from Wabik to Champion Mine Company railway was joint with CM&St.P railway.
Time Line
1888. Branch is opened to Republic by Iron Range railroad, a construction railroad controlled by the C&NW. Merged into C&NW in 1889. [MRL]
