Interlocking: Lansing, MI - GTW/MC (Cedar) Crossing
GTW Crossing in Lansing was located on the Michigan Central's Jackson to Saginaw branch where it crossed the GTW main line, just east of Cedar Street Crossing. The tower apparently controlled the LS&MS Lansing Division crossing here. Today, this is a controlled crossing at milepost 221.5 on the CN main line.
Photo info: Top, a 1977 view of Cedar Street interlocking tower. The Cedar Street overpass is behind the tower, which was likely built after the tower was built. The signal to the far left is for the NYC crossing, which this depot controlled. The LS&MS Lansing branch to Albion was near the location of the photographer or slightly behind.
