Location: Isle Royal Mine Docks, MI

The Isle Royal marine loading docks were on the DSS&A Houghton Branch, about three miles south of Houghton. This was at mileost 46.1 in Section 5 of T54N-R33W. [DSSM]

Time Line

1931. The Michigan Public Utilities Commission approves a plan by the Isle Royale Copper Company to cross by trestle the tracks of the Duluth South Shore & Atlantic Railway at DSS&A Survey Station 2459 plus 49.6 near Granville, Portage Township, Houghton County; providing that said trestle be constructed according to C&H Consolidated Copper Company Plan 9420.
