Station: Elm River, MI

Elm River was a station along the Copper Range railroad between Houghton and Mass at milepost 19.8 one mile southwest of Donken in Houghton County.

Time Line

1910. July. It was reported that the COPR depot in Elm River was destroyed by fire. [YEX-2010-0708]

1910. Large lumber shipments will be handled this winter by the COPR from the camps of Robert Hall. The logs will be shipped to a Marinette lumber company. About 50 men are now at work in the Hall camps and will get out between 3-4 million feet of logs. [CN-1910-1208]
