Location: Calumet, MI - Waterworks Spur Crossing (H&TL/HCSR)

This was the crossing of the Hecla & Torch Lake railroad Water Works spur with the Houghton County Street Railway in the village of Calumet. It was not interlocked.

This was also noted in 1933 as a crossing of the H&TL and the Copper Range railroad. It was a stop and proceed crossing.

Time Line

1902. The railroad commission describes this as an "unimportant" crossing being used only or carrying timber to the C&H Mine and to the Copper Range railroad. The crossing was approved without an interlocking device being required. [MCR-1903]
