Location: Woodside, MI
Woodside was a junction one mile northeast of Dollar Bay. The Mineral Range/DSSA line from Arcadian mine crossed the Copper Range (overhead on a on a 358 foot bridge) and the DSS&A line here, and then joined the branch to Point Mills.
Note
The Arcadian branch also crossed under the Quincy & Torch Lake railroad one mile north of Woodside. The Q&TL went overhead on a 266 foot long bridge. [DSSM]
This entire area was on a steep hillside which climbed from about 100 feet above the Lake to 401 feet above, near old Arcadian mine, a rise of 300 feet in five miles.
Time Line
1928. The Arcadian branch from Arcadian Junction to Woodside was removed in 1928. [DSSM]
