Location: Point Mills, MI
Point Mills was the location of mills for both the Allouez and Centennial mines on the shore of Portage Lake in Section10 of Section T54N-R33W. This was in Torch Lake Township on the south end of the island, southeast of Dollar Bay.
The DSS&A had a four mile long branch line here with a turning wye at the end. [DSSM] A branch from Arcadian Junction also connected with this branch to bring aggregate from the old and new Arcadian mines to the mills. [DSSM]
