Location: Arcadian Junction, MI

Arcadian Junction was a wye location on the DSS&A main branch from Hancock to Calumet. From this wye, the railroad operated a five mile branch line downhill to the mills at Point Mills on Portage Lake.

1907. The DSS&A had a water tower south of Arcadian Junction, as of 1907.

1907. John Peltier, a bridge foreman on the Mineral Range railroad was killed at Arcadia Junction. A chain holding a boiler in place broke and the heavy weight threw Peltier to the ground breaking his neck. [DFP-1907-1121]
