Notes
Time Line
1910. May. Weather permitting, the Houghton County Traction company will open Electric park with a concert by the entire Calumet & Hecla band from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. The C&H orchestra will furnish music in the evening from 8:30 to 11:30. From this date on, the park will be open to the public every day. Many improvements have been made, including a merry-go-round which never fails to appeal to the little ones. The park now has permission to sell temperance drinks and refreshments at the park. Several hundred lights have been installed through the park, which is rightly called "Electric park". [CN-1910-0526]
