Location: Escanaba, MI - Ann Arbor Railroad Ferry Dock
Beginning about 1899, the Ann Arbor railroad built a dock in Escanaba on Green Bay, at the mouth of the Menominee River. The purpose of the dock was to receive railroad car ferry service from Frankfort, MI on Lake Michigan.
Notes
This was essentially a terminal railroad, less than a mile of track, and operated for the AA by the Chicago & North Western railroad until it closed in 1958.
