Station: Masonville, MI

Masonville was a station stop on the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie (MStP&SSM) line one mile west of Rapid River in Delta County.

Time Line

1890. There was a sawmill here, the old Richard Mason mill, and it was owned by Bridges & Snell who conducted an operation with a single carriage circular sawmill. They got their timber by drives on the Whitefish and Rapid rivers and some from the Days River. There lumber went out to market by lumber barges and sailing vessels. Recollections of William J.
