Station: Wakelee, MI

Wakelee, in Cass County, was first laid out in 1871, named for the first treasurer of the Peninsular Railroad which built a depot here. [MPN] The town was located on the railroad, which became the Grand Trunk Western and later Canadian National, about 10 miles northeast of Cassopolis.
