Station: Avery, MI
Avery was settled in Berrien County as a sawmill community in 1854. It was also known as Avery Station and Avery's Mills. [MPN] The location was a station on the Michigan Central's main line west of Galien. It was the location of MC's Avery Track Plan, used to scoop up water on the run by locomotives.
