M&NE Nesson City Depot Nessen City depot Nessen City was founded in 1889 as a saw mill town. The town was located on the Manistee & Northeastern railroad on their line between Copemish and Grayling.

Notes

The village was laid out by John Nessen of Manistee. There is a saw mill and shingle mill with a capacity of 35,000 feet of lumber and 100,000 shingles a day.
