Relics and Ruins: Alplena County (04)
Relic: Old D&M Roundhouse
Location: Alpena (Junction) on Long Lake Road north edge of town.
What's There: The former Detroit & Mackinac Railway roundhouse, now operated by the Lake State Railway. The turntable was removed at some point after the road was dieselized in 1946.
Longitude/Latitude: 45o.04.798N - 83o.25.911W
Vision: ...the hostler washing the new RS-2 diesel after its eturn from Cheboygan on the daily local freight.
