Station: Chicago, IL - Dearborn Station

Dearborn Station is at Polk and South Dearborn streets in downtown Chicago. It began operation in 1885 and continues.

The depot served the following railroads over time:

  • Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway
  • Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville Railway (Monon Route)
  • Chicago & Erie Railroad
  • Chicago & Western Indiana Railroad
  • Grand Trunk Railway
  • Wabash Railroad

Notes

On the GTW, the telegraph call here was "HF".

1917: The GTW had operators here. The location was referred to as "WH". [TRT]
