Location: MC Calumet River Bridge, IL
The Calumet River drawbridge was located on the Michigan Central main line at its crossing oif the Little Calumet River in Burnam, IL east of Dolton. The Calumet River had at least five railroad bridges between here and Lake Michigan, as well as numerous highway bridges and even a lock.
