C.I.S. Crossing was located on the GTW South Bend subdivision at milepost 34.0, which was 2.1 miles west of Griffith. The GTW crossed the Penn Central (former C.I.S.) here at a controlled crossing.
C.I.S is an abbreviation for the Chicago Indiana & Southern railroad.
