Location: Griffith, IN

Griffith was a location on the Michigan Central's Joliet Branch, and was an interlocked crossing of the EJ&E, C&O/Erie, and GTW. It is located at S., Broad Street south of East Main Street, two miles east of Hartsdale, IN.

Time Line

1915. The GTW had a 120 car passing track here. [GTOS-1915-1102]

1917. The GTW had an agent here during the day as well as telegrapher/operators around the clock. Telegraph call was "JC". [TRT]
