C&NW 2092 on the turntable at Marinette, WI Marinette is a town on the Montreal River, opposite Menominee, MI. It is the county seat of Marinette County. The town was served by the Chicago & Northwestern and Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul railroad (MILW), and the Ann Arbor Railroad's car ferry had a port here.

Notes

The C&NW depot at Marinette was located on Hall Avenue between Hattie and Pete Streets. [CNWV]

The C&NW had a Fairbanks-Morse concrete coaling tower at Marinette. The frame of the tower still exists in 2024. They also had a roundhouse and water tank here near State and Spruce streets.
