Station: Willow Creek, IN
Willow Creek was located in northwest Porter County. It was a station stop on the Wabash's fourth district which ran between Montpelier, Ohio and Chicago. Willow Creek was also served by the Baltimore & Ohio's Chicago Division and the Michigan Central's Detroit-Chicago main line both of which crossed the Wabash here at grade.

Time Line
1905. Since the burning of the interlocking tower at Willow Creek, all Michigan Central and B&O trains have to stop for a flagman's signal to make the crossing. A MC wrecking train, did and received the customary wave ahead. When the engineer had crossed the B&O tracks he saw an oncoming train. By throwing the throttle wide open he hoped to carry his train out of danger but the B&O engine crashed into the wrecking train just one car removed from the caboose in which where a half dozen men, none of whom seriously injured, though their car was overturned ad almost changed ends. The injured were taken to St. Anthony's hospital in Michigan City. [Galien River Gazette 1905-0217]
1917. The MC had an operator-agent here on the day shift. [TRT]
1920. On the Michigan Central, this is a freight only station. Call sign is "WC". R. A Jannasch is the agent. [MCOAS]
