Bridge: River Rouge Bridge, Zug Island, MI - (DC Bridge No. 1)
This bascule bridge was built in 1914 at the north end of Zug Island. The bridge was later removed. It was built by the Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge Company of Chicago. The main span was 210' long. This bridge was identical to Bridge No. 2 which was built close by. [LPM]
