Station: Lacota, MI

Lacota was settled about 1837 in northwest Van Buren County. It was also known as Irvington and West Geneva. It was renamed to Lacota in 1884 at the request of the railroad. [MPN] The town was located on the Michigan Central South Haven Division, about three miles west of Grand Junction.

Notes

This depot was moved twice. Once to a nearby farm and then in 2003 to a new location for use as a museum. The depot burned down in 2005.
