Station: Owosso, MI
Owosso was settled about 1835 and became a city in 1859. [MPN] The town, located in central Shiawassee County was a division point for the Ann Arbor railroad and the AARR had a yard and locomotive service facilities here.
The town was also served by the Michigan Central's Jackson to Bay City branch, and the Grand Trunk Western's Detroit and Milwaukee line to Muskegon.
The GTW had a water tower and standpipe at Owosso for filling locomotives. [GTWHS-Cal/89]

1900. This is a telegraph station on the Ann Arbor railroad. [OG-1900]
1917 The AARR had a day station agent here. They also had an operator here on the day shift ("DI"). [TRT]
1917. The MC had an operator-lerk here around-the-clock. [TRT]
1917. The GTW had an agent here, as well as operators aroiund the clock. [TRT]
