Location: Eaton, MI (Otsego County)
Eaton was a railroad station in the northeast corner of Otsego County in Elmira Township. It was established in 1877.
This likely as on the Boyne City, Gaylord and Alpena railroad, northeast of Elmira.
Notes
A railroad round house with four stalls stood on the northside of town. The roundhouse was on the northeast side of Webster Road which runs off M-32 before the railroad tracks. Eaton also had a water tower and coal facility. Coal was hand shoveled from a 50 ton gondola and the fireman was paid $15 for unloading it. [OHT-1887-0820]
