Location: M.A.L. Crossing, MI

MAL Crossing was located 0.8 miles south of the Pontiac station on the Grand Trunk Western's Holly Subdivision. This was a crossing of the Holly Sub and the GTW Jackson Subdivision (the former Michigan Air Line railroad). [GTWET-1971-0501]

In 1909, there was a 1-story flagman's house at the crossing. By 1915, there was a 2-story interlocking tower in the SE quadrant of the crossing. [SBM]

Notes

The M.A.L. name is an abbreviation for the Michigan Air Line railroad, which was the original name of the Jackson subdivision.
