Location: Ferndale Yard, Ferndale, MI
Ferndale Yard is a large Grand Trunk Western railroad yard on their Detroit-Grand Haven line, beginning north of State Fair Avenue in Detroit and extending northwest to Nine Mile in Ferndale.

Notes
This yard had 22 tracks east of the main line, and one track on the west side. In addition to the double track main line, there was a north and south "thoroughfare", or freight main lines.
The yard office was just north of 8 mile (which crossed the GTW on an overhead bridge.
The railroad had car repair buildings here on the south end of the yard. [GTWHS-2023-F]
