Mines: Oxford Gravel Mines
The Michigan Central and Grand Trunk Western railroads served a major gravel mine operation north of Oxford. The Michigan Central Bay City branch ran through here and was a manual block railroad, but it had signals through this area to protect freight trains which stop to service the mine.

- American Aggregates Corp. They operated two former interurban box-cab locomotives that had been repowered with diesel engines. They also had a GE 45-tonner and a Davenport engine. [CGJ/GTWHS-2021-Sum]
- Ward Sand & Gravel Company. They operated several small steam locomotives until the early 1950's. [CGJ/GTWHS-2021-Sum]
