1920. At a session of the Michigan Public Utilities Commission held at its offices in the City of Lansing on the 27th day of May, A. D., 1920.

IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION of E. F. BLOMEYER, VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER OF THE ANN ARBOR RAILROAD COMPANY FOR PERMISSION TO DISCONTINUE THE REGULAR AGENCY AT ITS SAMARIA STATION AND MAINTAIN A COMMISSION TICKET AGENCY AT THAT POINT.

Accompanying said application is a statement of the earnings of Samaria Station for the months of January, February and March of the years 1918, 1919 and 1920. The Commission, after examining the report of earnings as outlined in said statement, are of the opinion they are justified in granting the request for discontinuing the agency at this point, provided : -

(a) That an agency be established and maintained at its Temperance Station. -

(b) That the Samaria Station be kept open in a sanitary condition, heated and lighted for the accommodation of the patrons of the railroad.

(c) That a commission agency for the sale of tickets be maintained at Samaria.

THEREFORE, IT Is HEREBY ORDERED: That permission be, and the same is hereby granted to the Vice President and General Manager of the Ann Arbor Railroad Company to discontinue the regular agency at Samaria, subject to the following conditions, to wit: (1) That the Samaria Station be kept open, in a sanitary condition, heated and lighted for the accommodation of the patrons of the Ann Arbor Railroad Company. (2) That arrangements be made for the sale of tickets at Samaria. (3). That a regular agency be maintained at their Temperance Station.

MICHIGAN PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION

1945. The Ann Arbor railroad had a 110 car passing track here. This was a flag stop for passenger trains. [ETT-1945]
