Station: Wallace, MI
Wallace was a lumber town which the railroad encouraged through a land grant for forest lands. It was settled in the early 1870's. [MPN]
Wallace was located about six miles south of Stephenson in Menominee County and is located on the Chicago & North Western railroad (now CN) main line between Menominee and Escanaba.
It is in Mellon Township in Section 22 of T34N-R27W.

Notes
The railroad had a bay window depot here, a 1,807' passing track and a 1,298' siding. [CNWV]
Time Line
1918. The C&NW had a station operator agent here on the day shift. [TRT]
1931. April 13. The entire village of Wallace is destroyed by fire. The railroad station was apparently destroyed. On July 17, 1931 the railway company installed a depot, in the form of a combination passenger and baggage coach, in charge of a caretaker. [MPUC-1931]
