Location: Negaunee, MI - C&NW Facilities
The Chicago & North Western came to Negaunee in the 1860's from Escanaba. The railroad entered Negaunee from the southeast, going underneath the DSS&A at Rail Street west of Marquette street. The first C&NW depot was near Jackson Street.
Unlike the original MH&O and later the original LS&I, the C&NW wrapped around the northwest side of Negaunee on the way to Ishpeming.
