DSSA McMillan DepotMcMillan Depot McMillan was founded about 1881 as a station on the Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic about 10 miles west of Newberry in Luce County.

Notes

McMillan had a water tower near the depot.


Time Line

1918. The DSS&A had an agent/operator as well as an assistant during the day at this location. [TRT]

1938. The DSS&A requests permission from the MPUC to close its depots at Brimley, Michigamme, McMillan and Shingleton, explaining that they are no longer necessary to meet public convenience. [EDP-1938-0305]
