Location: Central Mine, MI
Central Mine was a town which supported its namesake mine in Keweenaw County. The townsite was located on Central Road, north of what is now US-41 in Mohawk Township.

Time Line
1860. The Central mine shows every indication of prosperity. The new stamps are nearly completed. The mine shows beautifully and promises a great increase in product. [DFP-1860-0828]
