Time Line
1873. John Hosletter, conductor of a freight train on the D&M railroad, was instantly killed in this city this morning. He was hit in the face by the "bridge-warner" while passing over the bridge across Grand River, and so stunned that he fell between the cars and his body was badly mangled. He was a single man, but to be married in a few days. His relatives live in Detroit. [DFP-1873-1031]
1888. The DGH&M builds a 16'x20' 15' high ice house at Grand Rapids, which holds 120 tons of ice. [GTBB]
1893. The DGH&M installs a 56' iron deck girder turntable at Grand Rapids. [GTBB]
