Location: Parchment, MI - CK&S - MUR Overhead Crossing
Parchment, MI was a small town north of Kalamazoo, which was established in 1909 when the Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment company established a paper mill here. It was incorporated as a village in 1931 and a city in 1938. [MPN]
The CK&S railroad came through here about 1889 and an electric interurban line crossed it on a trestle in the early 1900's.
