CP 2 (control point 2) was the east end of a two mile long passing track on the New York Central Air Line branch in Jackson County. This was installed with the 1950's track modernization program which created this line as a high-speed freight route between Jackson and Elkhart, Indiana. CP 2 was controlled by the Jackson dispatcher.

Notes
Time Line
1870. September. Ten car loads of iron arrived for the Michigan Air Line and track laying between Union City and Homer will be resumed immediately. One half of the track between Concord and Jackson has been "ballasted" and is quite smooth. The Village of Concord is quite lively now with railroad men. Everybody has borders. [DFP-1870-0929]
