Location: Iron River Junction, MI

When the original C&NW junction was established in 1882 to connect the C&NW main line with Crystal Falls (north) and Iron River (northwest), it was called Iron River Junction and located about one mile east of Stager in Iron County. In 1903, the northbound connection to Crystal Falls was moved about one mile west to Stager, allowing the C&NW to discontinue the station at Iron River Junction and remove about one mile of old main line. The depot and telegraph operator were reestablished at Stager.
