Railroad: Mid-Michigan Railroad, Inc.
The Mid-Michigan railroad was organized in 1987 to operate former CSX lines between Paines (Saginaw) to Elwell , Elmdale to Greenville, and Elmdale to Ionia.
CSX → Mid-Michigan Railroad → Operation continuing
Acquired: 1987 - Elmdale to Paines via Elwell from CSX Transportation. Control at incorporation by Rail-Tex Corporation. The company was sold to the Genesee & Wyoming. The only portion of the line remaining is from Paines (Saginaw) to Alma. The remainder has been sold or abandoned.
Operated for 33 years, continuing.
