Railroad: Kalamazoo, Lake Shore and Chicago Railway Company

This line was built around 1878. It was leased to the KLS&C electric railroad between1916 and 1917. The lease was cancelled and it was merged into the Pere Marquette system. [MRL]


Leased → Kalamazoo Lake Shore & Chicago Railway → Reverted to Pere Marquette

Notes

An ad for the Fruit Belt Line This railroad was known as the "Fruit Belt Line".

The line from Paw Paw to Hartford was purchased by CSX in 1986. In Hartford, lines were purchased by CSX in 1995. [MRL]
