Railroad: Battle Creek & Sturgis Railway Company
This was a railroad which ran from Battle Creek to Sturgis and beyond to Goshen, Indiana. The length of the road to Findley was 33.8 miles and 7.2 miles thereafter to Sturgis. Operation of the road was divided between the MC (north of Findley) and the LS&MS south of Findley and both companies owned and leased it.

Built: 1884 By SLS&BC.
Operated for 6 years.
Became: Battle Creek & Sturgis Railway in 1889 after a 6 month receivership.
Leased in 1890 - Findley, MI north to Michigan Central, Findley, MI south to the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern.
