Notes

The Geneva Mine was located northeast of Ironwood in Gogebic County. It covered the south 1/2 of Section 13 T47N-R47W. It was operated by the Oliver Iron Company.

Brick dry house (20x160'); 2-story powerhouse (75' square) of concrete block construction; rectangular concrete blook machine shop. (45x130'). [UPM]

This mine site was originally discovered in 1848. The mine operated from 1887 to 1965, mostly underground. The maximum depth was 3,150 feet.
