Cost for “A Train Show” is $5 for adults and children under 12 are free. Proceeds will benefit the Avondale Education Foundation which supports student development through education and enrichment programs. The event, which attracts more than 1,600 adults and 700 children, is the 2nd largest model train show in the state by attendance and boasts nearly 385 tables of trains model railroad and other railroad memorabilia.
The Avondale Education Foundation’s (AEF) mission is to support student development, promote excellence through creative teaching and foster community and school partnerships by securing and allocating financial and other resources to create or expand education related enrichment projects and programs offered through the Avondale School District. Tom DelPup, president of the Avondale Education Foundation, says the ‘A Train’ show raised over $8200 for AEF in 2018 and will serve as the Foundation’s primary fundraising initiative for 2019 as well.

- Parking – Free parking is available on site and a free shuttle for parking is available in Downtown Auburn Hills at the new parking deck at the corner of Auburn and Squirrel. Parking is also available at the Church’s Lumber parking lot on Squirrel just south of Auburn.
